Steps in the use of a manual forklift
Used extensively in warehouse operations, manual walking forks are the go-to solution for businesses that value simplicity and productivity. Let's take a look at how you should properly use a manual forklift.
Pre-inspection and Positioning
Before operation, check the fork integrity (no cracks/deformation), hydraulic lifting smoothness and tire status, make sure the load does not exceed the 1.8 tons upper limit of the forklift truck, and the operator should wear non-slip shoes and protective gloves. Push the forklift truck to the reference line 1 meter in front of the pallet, and adjust the level of the forks through the bottom adjusting lever to a precise clearance of 3-5cm below the entrance of the pallet.
Insertion and lifting
Grip the T-handle with both hands and push forward at a constant speed to ensure that the forks are fully inserted along the center line of the pallet (≤5cm of the fork tines exposed is the optimal depth). Through reciprocating pressure to move the hydraulic pump to lift the cargo 2-3cm off the ground, synchronized with the back pull handle to achieve 15 ° rear tilt angle lock, the use of gravity self-locking mechanism to protect the stability of transport.
Transit and unloading
Keep the line of sight the same as the direction of travel when reversing and pulling, and control the speed of the vehicle to be less than 0.5m/s when turning in the narrow channel; after arriving at the target cargo position, slowly lower the hydraulic lever to make the corners of the pallet completely touch the loading surface, and confirm that the center of gravity of the goods has not shifted for the second time before pulling out the forks. The whole process through the dynamic balance control (lifting height / tilting angle / travel speed triple adjustment) to achieve man-machine cooperative operation.
